St. Mary's Women's Group
The mission of the St. Mary of Perpetual Help Women’s Group is to foster community and spiritual growth. Together, we seek to become women rooted in Christ, living our vocation with joy, faith, and love.
FAITH-BASED DISCUSSION GROUP: Through our faith-based discussion group, we learn about our Catholic faith and discuss how we can live out our baptismal call to missionary discipleship in our daily lives.
FAITH IN ACTION: Through shared experiences like retreats, service opportunities, and social events, we strengthen and encourage one another to grow closer to Christ, deepen our virtue, and foster charity, humility, generosity, and fellowship.
Are you looking to deepen your spiritual life and connect with other women from the parish?
Join St. Mary’s Women’s Group as we grow in faith together through prayer, meaningful discussions, and engaging conversations that inspire us to live out our vocation as Catholic women in today’s world.
We choose relevant topics to guide our discussions as we support one another and explore what it means to live out our vocation as a Catholic woman. Recent discussions have included:
- Growing in the Virtues: A Call to Holiness for Catholic Women
- Mary As Our Perfect Role Model
- Why Adoration is Essential for the Soul and Body

Upcoming Women’s Group Events
Missionaries of Charity | August 29
Living out our “Faith In Action” mission, the St. Mary’s Women’s Group will be volunteering at a Missionaries of Charity soup kitchen on Chicago’s West Side on August 29th. We are putting our faith into practice by cooking, cleaning, and serving meals to those in need. Space is strictly limited for this project, so female parishioners must reserve their spot by the August 19th RSVP deadline by emailing smphwomensgroup@gmail.com or joining the women’s group chat. If the event fills up, we will add you to a waitlist and keep you notified of the next service opportunity with the women’s group.
Founded by Mother Theresa, The Missionaries of Charity is a global Catholic religious congregation which offers unconditional love and aid to the most marginalized communities. Through a vast network of soup kitchens, clinics, and shelters, the sisters vow a life of radical poverty to completely embody their mission of hands-on charity.
