St. Mary's Women's Group
The mission of the St. Mary of Perpetual Help Women’s Group is to foster community and spiritual growth. Together, we seek to become women rooted in Christ, living our vocation with joy, faith, and love.
FAITH-BASED DISCUSSION GROUP: Through our faith-based discussion group, we learn about our Catholic faith and discuss how we can live out our baptismal call to missionary discipleship in our daily lives.
FAITH IN ACTION: Through shared experiences like retreats, service opportunities, and social events, we strengthen and encourage one another to grow closer to Christ, deepen our virtue, and foster charity, humility, generosity, and fellowship.

Join St. Mary’s Women’s Group as we grow in faith together through prayer, meaningful discussions, and engaging conversations that inspire us to live out our vocation as Catholic women in today’s world.
We choose relevant topics to guide our discussions as we support one another and explore what it means to live out our vocation as a Catholic woman. Recent discussions have included:

- Why Adoration is Essential for the Soul and Body
When: 9am on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. Please join the group chat to see the list of meeting dates.
Where: We’ll first meet in front of the church, and then head over to the Catacomb Cafe or patio (weather permitting).

Upcoming Women’s Group Events
Missionaries of Charity | Ongoing Service Opportunity
Living out our “Faith In Action” mission, the St. Mary’s Women’s Group volunteers at Missionaries of Charity soup kitchen on Chicago’s West Side every other month. We are putting our faith into practice by cooking, cleaning, and serving meals to those in need. Space is strictly limited for this project which occurs on Saturday mornings from approximately 8:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Parishioners may also attend a 7:00 a.m. Mass with the Sisters at their convent located in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood (23rd/Western) prior to service. If you are interested in joining the St. Mary’s Women’s Group and living out Works of Mercy, as our Catholic faith calls, please email us at smphwomensgroup@gmail.com to inquire about the next opportunity and reserve your spot.

Can I bring children? Yes, if they are accompanied by an adult and at least 10 years old.
Is this for St. Mary’s Women’s group only? No, if you are a parishioner at St. Mary of Perpetual Help, you are welcomed to join us!
Is this limited to women only? No, this is a service opportunity for both men, women and children.
Do I need to attend both the service and Mass? No, Mass with the Sisters is optional.
What are the locations of the service and Mass? The soup kitchen is located in the West Side near Lake/Western. The convent is located in Heart of Chicago near 23rd/Western. Details will be provided at time of registration.

St. Mary’s Women’s Retreat | Cor Mariae, Cor Christi
Join us October 3rd from 9 AM–3 PM, for Cor Mariae, Cor Christi, a retreat for women ages 18+ at St. Mary of Perpetual Help. Grow closer to Christ through Mary with prayer, reflection, and fellowship! Step away from the busyness of everyday life and make space for God.
Through the mysteries of the Holy Rosary, we will contemplate the life of Christ alongside His Mother and reflect on His invitation to deeper conversion, greater devotion, and closer union with Him.
